The
following information will help us diagnose and
solve any problems
you have on the Semar web site.
Before emailing us, please have the answers to as
many of these questions as possible:
•
What operating system are you using? Windows 3.1,
Windows 95/98,
Millennium, XP or Macintosh?
•
What type of PC are you using?
•
Approximately what was the date/time you experienced
the problem?
•
If you are using an Internet Service Provider, which
one are you using?
•
Are you using a modem, or are you accessing from
a network?
•
If you are using a modem, what speed is it?
•
What browser and version are you using?
•
What problem are you experiencing?
Include the steps that you took to get to that point,
any error messages,
and all other information you think would be relevant.

Why
does my web browser freeze up when I try to place
an order?

Your
browser may not support Secure Server. Please check
for the following:
•
Secure Server requires versions of Netscape or Microsoft
Explorer 3.x or higher.
•
If you are accessing our site from a corporate network,
it is possible that your corporate firewall
is not set to allow Secure Server transactions.
Please check with your network administrator.
•
Access through proxy servers can also sometimes
cause a problem.
In this case, we recommend ordering using a standard
server
and selecting the pay by phone option to place your
order.

Why
did I return to Semar and find my Shopping Cart
empty?
|
The
contents of the Shopping Cart are removed 24 hours
after you leave the Semar web site.
Also, if you have cookies turned off or if you do
not accept cookies,
the Shopping Cart will clear once you leave the
site.

I
am on a network with a firewall; why can’t
I place a secure transaction?
|
The
firewall on a network is a security measure.
The firewall does not allow secure transactions
out of the network.
When placing an order on a network with a firewall,
we suggest choosing Standard Server and selecting
the pay by phone option to place your order.
