and cheques or money orders (cash on delivery for
ECC countries only)
denominated in Euro and US dollars.
Cheques must have a valid nine-digit bank routing
number (ABA code),
located on the bottom of the cheque.

about your returns policy?

may return within 30 days of receipt of your order:

book in its original condition;
• any
unopened music CD, DVD, VHS tape;
• any
other merchandise item in new condition, with its
original packaging and accessories.
We
will issue a full refund for the price of any item
you return that meets these conditions.
We can refund shipping costs only if the return
is a result of our error.

What
do you do about mispricings?

We
always verify prices as part of our shipping procedures.

If an item's correct price is lower than our stated
price, we charge the lower
amount and ship you the item.

If an item's correct price is higher than our stated
price,
we contact you for instructions before shipping.

don't charge your credit card until we ship your
order.
If you've paid by cheque and we owe you a full or
partial refund,
we will send a refund cheque for the correct amount
immediately.

books we have: title, author, edition, publisher,
publication date,
price, page numbers, dimensions and ISBN
(the worldwide standard number for identifying a
particular edition of a particular book),
Often we will also have a review, a short synopsis,
a picture of the cover,
and/or a table of contents/track listing.
For CDs we have: title, artist, label, release date,
price, and ASIN
(the worldwide standard number for identifying a
particular book, CD, or video).
For videos we have: title, starring actors, director,
studio, rating, release date,
price, edition details, technical information,
and ASIN (the worldwide standard number for identifying
a particular book, CD or video).
We
know that the amount of information we have about
an item may make it difficult
to make a purchasing decision unless you already
know something about the title.
We're working hard to bring you synopses, excerpts,
and reviews.

you tell me the availability of this book, CD, or
video?
Can you confirm the price for me before I order?

our titles are on-stock.
Items usually leave our warehouse about four to
six days after you place your order, often sooner.
As
we process your order, we will inform you by email
if any items you order turn out to be unavailable.We
can’t confirm the price until you order the title
but please note that we never charge a credit
card for order titles until we actually ship
them to a customer, so you never pay for a title
unless you actually receive it.

What
format are your videocassettes?
|
|
All
of the videos sold by Semar follow the 50Hz, PAL/SECAM
format.
This is the video format used in Europe and other
countries. These tapes will not play on most video
machines in North America or other countries that
use the NTSC , or other video standards.
•
But, if you need a 60Hz, NTSC video
format, specify in your order, we will do our best
to supply it to you and inform you by email when
it il will be available.

are Semar's online prices lower than those in a
store?

can offer lower prices online because we do not
incur the high costs associated with operating retail
stores. Our fully automated online ordering system
enables us to ship products to you directly from
our warehouse. All of these savings are passed on
to you!
